Oh, Ikea. How I love-hate thee. Your meatballs might be delicious in a previously-frozen, chemically-altered kind of way, but your particleboard and allen wrenches deplete my soul. I'm currently feeling the love again thanks to your $3.99 Bekvam spice racks. Not quite willing to shell out $170 for this gorgeous book rack from RH Baby, I still wanted a way to store books in M's playroom where she could easily ~~judge~~ see the covers instead of shelving them side by side on a bookcase. It also needed to be low-profile and not take up a ton of room. After a quick Google search I discovered this brilliant idea of using Ikea spice racks as book shelves. It appears that this is a "thing", and everybody's doing it. I immediately jumped on the bandwagon. $16 versus $170... I'd call that a no-brainer.
