My recent discovery of Kalon Studios has made me seriously wish for a nursery re-do. As much as I love M's soft-hued and vintage-esque nursery, I am completely obsessed with the Kalon Studios Caravan Crib with its modern design and fun pop of color. Each crib is made almost entirely by hand in New England with the highest quality, fully sustainable, FSC Certified domestic Maple. If pink's not your color, the crib also comes in natural and six additional colors, all of which are finished using Green Guard Certified, Low VOC, 100% HAP (Hazardous Air Pollutants) Free Paint and a wood oil so green and non-toxic that it's practically food safe. One of the greatest things about this crib is that it converts to a platform style toddler bed without having to purchase a conversion kit (although a conversion kit is available if you would prefer the divan style pictured above). This is a beautiful, functional piece that will grow with your child from crib to toddler bed and then to sofa perhaps. Heirloom quality that's built to last from generation to generation.
