water wipes

I serendipitously came across WaterWipes while waiting for a prescription.  When I saw that the only two ingredients were 99.9% purified water and a drop of grapefruit seed extract, plus that they carried the seal of approval from the National Eczema Association of America, I was sold.

Our 15 month old has suffered from eczema almost from birth, with the worst location being on her chin and around her mouth.  As much as I love Honest Company wipes for diaper changes, when I used them on her face to clean her up after mealtimes she would scream and put up a fight, and it was obvious that the wipes were exacerbating her eczema.  The first time I used a WaterWipe on her face there was no squirming or crying - just a happy baby with a clean, less irritated face.  No wonder, the folks at Water Wipes say that their wipes are so gentle, they are even suitable for newborns.

These work great for diaper changes as well, though I may still prefer Honest wipes for that task as they are a little less wet, the cloth is embossed, and the package is easier to open and close with one hand.  Of course, if your little one suffers from diaper rash, or if you love the idea of no chemicals, then WaterWipes are the way to go.  Also, I have found that the Water Wipes package sometimes leaks when in my diaper bag so I would recommend keeping the package inside of a plastic bag if you're going to travel with it.  But if you're looking for wipes to use at home, or wipes to keep on hand in the kitchen to help with post-meal clean up, then these are the ones!

*You can find WaterWipes at Walgreens and Target, but the best deal I've seen is on Amazon.
